Tara Reid first appeared in television commercials while she was an infant. Her big break came when Tara Reid made an appearance on Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Although her acting abilities have been under the scanner she has without doubt played her roles with ease. Her breakthrough came on the big screen in The Big Lebowski as Bunny. The movie proved to be an important step in her career, and she started getting offers for films such as Urban Legend and Cruel Intentions. American Pie, a cult classic about teens and their sexual encounters between them, is the film that made Reid become a Hollywood star. The actress played sexually virgin Vicky in the film. This did not lead to the big successful Hollywood career. Reid was unable to become famous in Hollywood through films like Josie and the Pussycats. She did get an appearance on the set of American Pie 2 for a couple of minutes, however this didn't help her decline in career. Reid's off-screen blunders, a publicized and disastrous plastic surgery as well as her numerous flash-and-miss appearances have made her more of the party goer or designer, rather than an actress.
